About This Game:

A "20 Second Game Jam" submission.  Share what you think! Rate this game or comment below.

Warriors first engage in mental combat before the physical melee begins.  In these moments, they plan to defeat their opponent.  When the battle begins, they act on instinct: without thought.

Be the Sword-Saint:

  • Defeat your opponent as many times as possible within 20 seconds.
    • Play cards to move to adjacent to your enemy and attack them.
    • Any attack that hits will defeat your opponent... or you!  Plan you approach.
    • When a card has a movement action and attack action, the movement action is resolved first.
  • Additional points are awarded for:
    • Turning off your 'Ghost' - this shows you where you will be after each play.
    • Turning off your opponents 'Ghost' - same, but for your opponent.
    • Hitting your opponent with your first attack card.

        • On 'Done' Button - Play out cards ASAP. (when you're sure you've defeated enemy and want to play out cards quickly)

I'm pretty sure I'm terrible at this. Best score so far is 2250 points. Good times though!

Well done: thanks for playing!

Thank YOU for a fun game!

Really love the concept. The sound design is amazing. I hope you expand it after the jam. It would do well without the 20 second timer so I could deliberate over my choices.

Thank you!  I agree: I had a lot of ideas as I went through this and had to keep it manageable to meet the deadline.  I'd like to come back to it: just need to pick the best ideas and knuckle-down for another sprint.  Appreciate the comment!
